Setting up a third-party login for WesBanco gives your Bench bookkeeping team view-only access to your WesBanco bank statements. This allows your bookkeeper to download statements directly so you don't have to manually pull and upload them each month.
• Your WesBanco login information
• Your BenchID number
• Your Bookkeeper's phone number (ask them for this)
1. Login to WesBanco online banking
2. Go to the Cash Management Tab and click ‘Administration’
3. On the Sub-Users Administrations page, click ‘Add A New Sub-User’ in the ‘I want to’ menu
4. On the Add New Sub-User page, enter the following credentials:
Access ID: bench[benchID]
First Name: Bench
Last Name: Accounting
SSN: 545545545
Email: thirdpartylogins+your.business.name@bench.co
Note - for your.business.name, use your own business name with periods instead of spaces. If your business is ACME Tools Inc, use thirdpartylogins+acme.tools.inc@bench.co
Phone Number: Your bookkeeper's phone number
Temporary password: B3nch[benchID]
5. In the Basic Services list, select ‘View Only’ or ‘View Reports’ if that selection is available (we do not need Administrator privileges for this Sub-User)
6. Click ‘Submit’
7. Inform your bookkeeper you have submitted your third-party login instructions.
Once your bookkeeper confirms access, they'll be able to pull your WesBanco statements directly, no action needed from you going forward. If anything changes with your account (such as a password update or a change in permissions), let your bookkeeper know so they can adjust accordingly.
I don't know my BenchID number.
You can locate it via the number in your Bench account URL: https://app.bench.co/client/12345/ the number after client/ is your BenchID. You can also always ask your bookkeeper for it as well.
