Setting up a third-party login gives your Bench bookkeeping team view-only access to your Umpqua Bank portal. This allows your bookkeeper to download statements and transaction details on your behalf so you don't have to manually pull and upload them each month.
1. Login access with view only access to account activity and statements
2. Your Bench ID — this is the number that appears after /client/ in your browser's address bar when you're logged into Bench. For example, if your URL is app.bench.co/client/33248/..., your Bench ID is 33248. If you're unsure, your bookkeeper can provide
1. Log into your Umpqua Online Bank account
2. Select 'Administration'
3. Select 'Manage Users'
4. Click 'Create New User'
5. Enter the following credentials for 'User Information' and click 'Continue':
User ID: bench[benchID]
Password: benchb00ks
First name: Bench
Last name: Accounting
Primary email address: thirdpartylogins+business.name@bench.co
Telephone Number: 6504660173
6. Click 'Do not copy user' and click 'Continue'
7. Select 'Statements and Reporting' and 'Information and Access' and then click 'Continue'
8. The 'New User – Verification' page will appear.
9. Please review all access and click 'Submit'.
10. Once submitted, the 'New User – Confirmation' screen will appear.
Please message your bookkeeper to let them know this has been completed as the email invite link is not a monitored email.
Once your bookkeeper confirms access, they'll be able to pull your Umpqua reports directly, no action needed from you going forward. If anything changes with your Umpqua account (such as a password update or a change in permissions), let your bookkeeper know so they can adjust accordingly
I'm not sure what to use for the email address.
Replace your.business.name with your actual business name, no spaces. For example, if your business is Maple Goods, the email would be thirdpartylogins+maple.goods@bench.co. Your bookkeeper can confirm the exact format.
