Sure Payroll

Overview

To access your SurePayroll data, our team will submit a view-access request through SurePayroll on our end. Once we've done that, you'll need to authorize the request by calling SurePayroll directly. Setup takes about 5 minutes on your end.

What You'll Need

  • Your company's Federal Employer ID Number (FEIN) — your bookkeeper will ask for this along with your company name and executive/owner name before getting started
  • The ability to call SurePayroll to authorize the access request
  • Setup Instructions

    1. Your bookkeeper will ask you for your company name, executive/owner name, and FEIN. You can send these through your Bench app message feed.
    2. Once our team submits the access request, SurePayroll will notify you.
    3. Call SurePayroll to authorize and grant access.

That's it — once authorized, your account will appear in our dashboard and no further action is needed.

    What To Expect After Setup

After you've called SurePayroll and authorized access, our team will have view-only access to your payroll data. This is typically reflected in our system the same day.

    Troubleshooting

  • I'm not sure where to find my FEIN. It's the 9-digit number assigned by the IRS (sometimes called your EIN). You can find it on previous tax filings, your original IRS confirmation letter, or by contacting your accountant.
  • I haven't received a notification from SurePayroll. Check with your bookkeeper to confirm the request has been submitted. It may also appear in your email spam folder.
  • I'm not sure what number to call. Contact SurePayroll's customer support line — the number should be included in the notification you received, or your bookkeeper can provide it.
