Setting up a third-party login for Jobber gives your Bench bookkeeping team view-only access to your Jobber Merchant Portal. This allows your bookkeeper to download payout reports and transaction details on your behalf so you don't have to manually pull and upload them each month.
1. A Jobber merchant account
2. Access to the account owner's login credentials
3. Admin-level permissions to add authorized users
4. Your Bench ID — this is the number that appears after /client/ in your browser's address bar when you're logged into Bench. For example, if your URL is app.bench.co/client/33248/..., your Bench ID is 33248. If you're unsure, your bookkeeper can provide
1. Log in to your Jobber account
2. Click the gear icon in the top right and navigate to ‘Manage Teams’
3. Click ‘Add User’ in the top right
4. Enter the following information:
Full Name: Bench Accounting
Email Address: thirdpartylogins+business.name@bench.co
Phone Number: 6504660173
5. Select ‘Custom‘ as the permission level
6. Toggle the following actions to On and select ‘View Only’ for the additional options that pop up: Expenses, Invoices, Reports
7. Click ‘Save’
Please message your bookkeeper to let them know this has been completed as the email invite link is not a monitored email.
Once your bookkeeper confirms access, they'll be able to pull your Jobber merchant reports directly, no action needed from you going forward. If anything changes with your Jobber account (such as a password update or a change in permissions), let your bookkeeper know so they can adjust accordingly
I'm not sure what to use for the email address.
Replace your.business.name with your actual business name, no spaces. For example, if your business is Maple Goods, the email would be thirdpartylogins+maple.goods@bench.co. Your bookkeeper can confirm the exact format.
