Overview
To access your Grubhub restaurant data, we'll need you to add us as a user on your Grubhub for Restaurants account. This gives us access to your sales and reporting data. Setup takes about 5 minutes.
What You'll Need
- Access to your Grubhub for Restaurants account with permissions to create users
- If you operate multiple locations, know which restaurants you'd like us to have access to
Setup Instructions
- Log into your Grubhub for Restaurants Account
- Under Restaurant Settings, select Users.
- From the dropdown menu, check off the relevant restaurants (or select All Restaurants).
- Click Create User.
- Under User Roles, select Admin.
- Enter the following information:
- First Name: Bench
- Last Name: Accounting
- Username: thirdpartylogins+your.business.name@bench.co
- Password: Create a temporary password and send it to us through your Bench app message feed. Do not send the password by email or any other platform.
- Under Restaurants & Groups, select all stores you'd like us to have access to.
- Click Save.
Please message your bookkeeper to let them know this has been completed, as the email invite link is not a monitored email.
Note: We'll change the default password on our end once we log in to finalize the setup. No action is needed from you.
What To Expect After Setup
Once you've saved the new user, our team can log in right away — no invitation or acceptance step is needed. We'll update the password on our end to secure the account.
Troubleshooting
I don't see "Users" under Restaurant Settings.
You may not have admin-level access. Check with whoever originally set up your Grubhub for Restaurants account.
I'm not sure what to use for the username.
Replace your.business.name with your actual business name, no spaces. For example, if your business is Maple Goods, the username would be thirdpartylogins+maple.goods@bench.co. Your bookkeeper can confirm the exact format.
I'm not sure which restaurants to select.
If you'd like us to handle bookkeeping for all of your locations, select All Restaurants. Otherwise, check only the locations your bookkeeper has asked for.
I have a new location that wasn't listed during setup.
Go back to Restaurant Settings → Users, find the Bench Accounting user, and add the new location under Restaurants & Groups.
