Eventbrite

Overview

To ensure we can access your Eventbrite business merchant statements accurately and securely, we'll need you to set up an authorized user on your account. This gives our team view-only access to your account activity and statements, nothing more. It's a one-time setup that typically takes about 10 minutes.

What You'll Need

  • An Eventbrite business online merchant account
  • Access to the account owner's login credentials
  • Admin-level permissions to add authorized users
  • Your Bookkeeper's email address

Setup Instructions

Part 1: Create Bookkeeper Role:

  1. Log into your Eventbrite account
  2. Go to your Organization Settings workspace
  3. Go to ‘Manage my events’ and choose 'Organization settings’ from the left navigation menu
  4. Select ‘Team Management’
  5. Choose ‘Roles,’ then click ‘Create new role’
  6. Name the role ‘Bookkeeper’
  7. Select the ‘Payouts and billing’ set of permissions. If you are asked to select individual permissions, select the following: View organization financial balances View payout summary View and manage invoices View charges and credits View financial event reports View aggregate royalty data (only for Eventbrite Music) View aggregate financial data
  8. Click ‘Create’

Part 2: Create Bench User:

  1. Go to ‘Organization Settings’
  2. Log into your Eventbrite account
  3. Go to 'Account settings' and choose 'Organization settings'
  4. Select ‘Team Management’
  5. Select ‘Users’
  6. Click ‘Invite users’ and enter the following details
    Email Address: thirdpartylogins+business.name@bench.co
Role: Choose the ‘Bookkeeper’ role that we just created
  7. Click ‘Add’. Until we accept the invitation, you'll see ‘Invitation sent’ next to the user

Please message your bookkeeper to let them know this has been completed as the email invite link is not a monitored email.

What To Expect After Setup

Once your bookkeeper confirms access, they'll be able to pull your Eventbrite reports directly, no action needed from you going forward. If anything changes with your Eventbrite account (such as a password update or a change in permissions), let your bookkeeper know so they can adjust accordingly

Troubleshooting

I'm not sure what to use for the email address.
Replace your.business.name with your actual business name, no spaces. For example, if your business is Maple Goods, the email would be thirdpartylogins+maple.goods@bench.co. Your bookkeeper can confirm the exact format.
