Overview
Setting up a third-party login for DoorDash gives your Bench bookkeeping team view-only access to your DoorDash Merchant Portal. This allows your bookkeeper to download payout reports and transaction details on your behalf so you don't have to manually pull and upload them each month.
What You'll Need
1. Access to your DoorDash Merchant Portal with admin or owner permissions
2. The email address for the Third Party Login. This will be formatted as thirdpartylogins+business.name@bench.co
Note: Your bookkeeper can confirm the exact email address if needed.
Setup Instructions
- Log in to your DoorDash account
- Navigate to the DoorDash Merchant Portal
- Under Settings, select Manage Users
- On the upper right corner, select Add User
- Enter the email address provided by your bookkeeper
- Select Manager as the access level
- Click Save
Once complete, let your bookkeeper know through the message feed so they can confirm access.
What To Expect After Setup
Once your bookkeeper confirms access, they'll be able to pull your DoorDash reports directly, no action needed from you going forward. If anything changes with your DoorDash account (such as a password update or a change in permissions), let your bookkeeper know so they can adjust accordingly.
Troubleshooting
- I don't see "Manage Users" in my settings. You may not have admin or owner permissions on your DoorDash account. Contact DoorDash support to verify your access level.
- My bookkeeper says they can't log in. Double-check that the email address you entered matches the one your bookkeeper provided, and that the access level is set to Manager.
- I changed my DoorDash password. This won't affect your bookkeeper's access since they log in through a separate user invite. No action is needed on your end.
- I'm not sure what to use for the email address. Replace "your.business.name" with your actual business name, no spaces. For example, if your business is Maple Goods, the email would be thirdpartylogins+maple.goods@bench.co. Your bookkeeper can confirm the exact format"
