Overview

Setting up a third-party login for Dext gives your Bench bookkeeping team view-only access to your Dext Portal. This allows your bookkeeper to download receipts, invoices, bank statements, and more on your behalf, so you don't have to manually pull and upload them each month.

What You'll Need

  1. Account access to your Dext account

Setup Instructions

Instructions

1. Log in to your Dext/Receipt Bank account

2. On the sidebar menu, scroll down to the ‘Manage’ or ‘Manage Client’ section

3. Click on ‘My Team’ or ‘Users’

4. Click the green ‘Add a user’ button

5. Enter the following information:

First Name: Bench

Last Name: Accounting

Email: bench.business.name (@dext.cc appendage will be automatic)

6. Check the boxes labelled ‘Expense Approver’ and ‘Create expense reports’

7. Under the ‘User Invitation’ section, enter the following email address: thirdpartylogins+business.name@bench.co

8. Check the box labelled ‘Send an email invitation’

9. Complete the process by clicking on the green ‘Add user’ button in the bottom right

What To Expect After Setup

Once your bookkeeper confirms access, they'll be able to pull your Dext reports directly, no action needed from you going forward. If anything changes with your Dext account (such as a password update or a change in permissions), let your bookkeeper know so they can adjust accordingly
