Overview

To access your Deel payroll reporting, we'll need you to invite us as a manager with viewer-level access on your Deel account. This gives us read-only access to the payroll reports we need for your bookkeeping — we won't be able to make changes or approvals. Setup takes about 5 minutes.

What You'll Need

  • Access to your Deel account with permissions to manage access and invite managers

Setup Instructions

  1. Log into your Deel account.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Organization Settings.
  3. Under the Access Management tab, select Invite Manager.
  4. Enter the following under Personal Details:
    • First Name: Bench
    • Last Name: Accounting
    • Email: thirdpartylogins+your.business.name@bench.co
  5. For permissions, select Group-level access.
  6. Select the whole company.
  7. Click Assign Role and choose Viewer (Sensitive Data).
  8. Click Send Invite.

Please message your bookkeeper to let them know this has been completed, as the email invite link is not a monitored email.

What To Expect After Setup

Our team will receive the invitation and accept it — typically within one business day. No further action is needed on your end.

A Note on the "Viewer (Sensitive Data)" Role

This is the most limited role available on Deel that still includes access to payroll reports. Despite the name, it's a read-only role — we cannot make changes, approve payments, or take any actions on your account. You can review all available role types and what they include here.

Troubleshooting

  • I don't see "Organization Settings" or "Access Management."
You may not have admin-level access. Check with whoever originally set up your Deel account.
  • I'm not sure what to use for the email address.
Replace your.business.name with your actual business name, no spaces. For example, if your business is Maple Goods, the email would be
thirdpartylogins+maple.goods@bench.co. Your bookkeeper can confirm the exact format.
  • I'm uncomfortable with the "Sensitive Data" label.
That's understandable — this guide breaks down exactly what each role can and can't do. The Viewer role is read-only, and it's the minimum level of access that includes payroll reporting.
  • I only want to grant access to specific teams, not the whole company.
Let your bookkeeper know — they can advise on which groups to select based on what's needed for your books.
