To ensure we can access your Chase Business banking statements and check images accurately and securely, we'll need you to set up an authorized user on your account. This gives our team view-only access to your account activity and statements, nothing more. It's a one-time setup that typically takes about 10 minutes.
1. Log into your Chase Business online banking account
2. Navigate to ‘Account Management’ in the top toolbar and click on ‘Access And Security Manager’ in the dropdown menu.
3. Click on ‘Add Authorized User’ on the right-hand side of the screen
4. You will be asked to send a code to your phone number to verify your identity
5. Enter the following credentials:
First Name: Bench
Last Name: [Your Business Name]
Email: thirdpartylogins+business.name@bench.co
Phone Number: 6504660173
Username: bench[benchID]
Your Bench ID is the number that appears after /client/ in your browser's address bar when you're logged into Bench. For example, if your URL is app.bench.co/client/12345/..., your Bench ID is 12345, and you'd enter bench12345.
If you're unsure, your bookkeeper can provide it.
6. If asked, send the temporary password to the email address provided
7. You will be asked if you would like to assign Mobile Access. Select ‘No’
8 You will then be prompted to ‘Add authorized user’
9. The next page will provide a summary of the user information and ask if you would like to assign ‘Third Party App Access.’ Select ‘No’ (*this would give us FULL access to your account, so please be sure to avoid this option)
10. Scroll further down to the list of your accounts. Click the arrow to expand each of your business accounts
11. For each of the accounts, select the access level ‘See Activity Only’
12. Once that is established, more checkboxes should pop up. Please select ‘See statements and documents' and for checking accounts, select the option 'See check images’ too
13. Click ‘Next.’
14. When you navigate back to the ‘All Users' tab, it will show that the Bench user status is ‘suspended’. This is normal. It will change to active once we have received the temporary password and finalized the account setup. Message your bookkeeper to let them know this has been completed, as the email invite link is not a regularly monitored inbox.
Once you've completed these steps, the Bench user will initially appear as "Suspended" under the All Users tab. This is completely normal — the status will change to "Active" once we've received the temporary password and finalized the account setup on our end. No further action is needed from you.
