How to Add a Bookkeeper/User in Cashmere Valley Bank Online Banking

1. Sign in to your business online banking account at

3. Click:

• Add User

• New User or Add/Change/Remove Users

5. Create a temporary username/password (if prompted).
The user will typically reset this after first login.

6. Select account permissions:

7. Save new user.

We will receive login/setup instructions and complete multi-factor authentication (security verification).

Once you've finished the steps above, please let your team know via the Bench app message feed. We will log in and finalize the connection — typically within one business day.

Common Troubleshooting Tips

1. “I don’t see Manage Users or Add User”

Usually this means:

  • Using personal online banking instead of business online banking
  • You are not logged in as the primary administrator

Fix:

  • Try logging into the business portal instead of personal banking
  • Have the account owner/admin log in
  • Contact the bank to enable multi-user access

2. “The new user never received the invitation email”

Common causes:

  • Typo in the email address
  • Invitation landed in spam/junk
  • The bank system requires manual password setup

Fix:

  • Check spam/junk folders
  • Re-send the invitation
  • Verify the email entered exactly matches yours
  • Sometimes using a desktop browser works better than mobile

3. “The user can log in but can’t see accounts”

Usually permissions were not assigned to the specific accounts.

Fix:

  • Go back into:
    • Administration
    • User Management
    • Edit User Permissions
  • Ensure each bank account is checked for:
    • View balances
    • Transaction history
    • Statements/downloads
