Overview

To help streamline your bookkeeping process, we ask that you add our team as an accountant user on your Bluevine account. This provides us with limited, view-only access to download statements and reports directly, reducing the need for monthly manual uploads and follow-up requests.

What You'll Need

What You'll Need:

  • Login access to your Bluevine account
  • A desktop

Setup Instructions

1. Login to your Bluevine account

2. Select the Settings icon in the upper right-hand corner.

3. Select the Account Access tab

4. Select Invite User

5. Complete the MFA (multi-factor authentication)

6. Select + New User

7. Enter the following information:

First Name: Bench

Last Name: Accounting

Email: thirdpartylogins+business.name@bench.co

8. Under Select Role, choose Accountant.

9. Check off the box next to the Acknowledgement of Responsibility for the Authorized user's actions and select Next

10. Select "Invite"

11. The invited user will receive an email invitation to complete registration and access setup.

12. Once the invitation is accepted and registration is complete, the user will be granted accountant access.

13. Message your bookkeeper to let them know this has been completed as the email invite link is not a monitored email.

Please note: Accountant access allows for limited permissions including view and download bank statements/account reports, view check images, view loan advances and details, and view access account summary and transaction details. Accountant users do not receive full administrative control of the account.

What To Expect After Setup

Once you have sent the invitation, inform your bookkeeper. Our team will accept the invitation and you will see Bench Accounting listed as a user on your account.

Troubleshooting

I'm not sure what to use for the email address.

Replace your.business.name with your actual business name, no spaces. For example, if your business is Maple Goods, the email would be thirdpartylogins+maple.goods@bench.co. Your bookkeeper can confirm the exact format.
