Recommended Browser
- It is always recommended to use Google Chrome when using the Bench app.
- Other browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Edge or Safari will allow users to complete 90% of all actions in the Bench app, but Google Chrome is recommended, especially for connecting bank accounts. Please download a recent version of Google Chrome from an official source and log in to your Bench account in Chrome.
What to do when you’re experiencing issues with the Bench app
- If you are experiencing issues loading certain Bench pages, check the following:
- Check if you are using the latest version of your browser. Bench performs the best in Google Chrome, so that is always our recommended web browser.
- If your browser requires an update, update to the most recent version and attempt the same steps that you did when you first ran into an error
- If you are experiencing issues connecting or reconnecting an account:
- Ensure you are using the latest version of Google Chrome as your web browser. Chrome will provide the most optimized experience for connecting and reconnecting your accounts to Bench
- If you are not using Google Chrome, download the latest version and then log in to your Bench account
- Attempt the same steps that you did when you first ran into an error
What to do when you’re using Chrome and still experiencing issues
- Check your browser extensions
- The issue might be caused by your browser extensions
- Go to chrome://extensions and disable any active plugins
- Attempt the same steps that you did when you first ran into an error
- Clear your cookies and cache
- Go to chrome://history, click ‘clear browser history’, then go into the Advanced tab and only select Cookies and Cache with the date filter going back to the beginning of time
- Refresh the Bench app and attempt the same steps that you did when you first ran into an error
What to do if you’re still experiencing issues
- If you’re still experiencing issues with the Bench app, we recommend submitting your technical issue here. A member of our App Support Team will be notified and your bookkeeper will reach back out with more information within one business day.
- You can also always reach out to your Bookkeeper in the message feed and they’ll assist you within one business day or less.
