How to access the personal to business feature
1. Open Bench and select ‘Transactions’ from the ‘My Books’ dropdown
2. Click on the ‘Personal’ tab
How to add business transactions from personal accounts to your books
1. Once you’ve navigated to the personal transactions area, you will see at the top when you have new personal transactions to review. Simply click “Review Personal Transactions” to get started.
2. You’ll be able to easily search for specific transactions or filter by date or account.
3. To mark transactions as either personal or business, you click the check box on the left
4. Click “submit to books” and business transactions will be added to your books and personal transactions will be archived.
5. If you have used a filter or searched a term previously, you can clear filters and continue to review.
6. Once you have completed reviewing all transactions, you will see any personal transactions archived below. Note, if any transactions need to be added to your books after they have been archived, you can simply message your bookkeeper to do so.
7. If there are no transactions that need to be reviewed you will see this message.
8. When you have new personal transactions that need to be your attention your bookkeeping team will let you know in the notification center.
