  • Your bookkeeper may need your input a couple times a month to help categorize unknown transactions or connect accounts. Spending a bit of time completing their requests each month will help your bookkeeper get your books ready on time.
  • Best Practice: We recommend setting up a recurring reminder in your calendar at least once a month to log into your Bench account and easily check off these tasks from your to-do list

As the owner or manager of the business, you have a deeper understanding of the nature of your business and can provide insights so that your bookkeeping team can ensure your deductions are maximized.

Here's how to check if you have any outstanding requests or notifications from your bookkeeper:

  1. After logging in, go to the notification center to see a list of the inputs that are need from you in order to complete your monthly books
  1. From each request you can easily navigate to the right area to provide your input. There will always be a button to click if your input is needed, so you can click it and follow the relevant steps that take place on the next screens.
