Welcome to Bench! 

We are excited to work with you and get started on your bookkeeping. Our goal is to take the stress out of managing your finances so you can focus on running your business with confidence.

Getting Started

Before we dive in, you'll go through our onboarding process. This ensures your account is set up correctly, and we have everything we need to keep your books IRS-compliant.

Here’s what to expect:

  1. Sign up & complete your Account Setup Form – After purchasing Bench, you’ll receive an Account Setup Form in your email. Please complete this within 2 days.
  2. Meet your onboarding specialist
    1. If you purchased historical Catch Up bookkeeping, you will be connected directly with your Historical Bookkeeper. They will book a Welcome Call with you to review your Account Setup Form details, setup your accounts, and confirm what additional documents are required in order to begin your historical bookkeeping. Your historical bookkeeping will be completed before being transitioned to your ongoing monthly Keep Up bookkeeper.
    2. If you only purchased a monthly Keep Up subscription, you will be connected with an Onboarding Specialist who will book a Welcome Call with you to review your Account Setup Form details, setup your accounts, and confirm what additional documents are required in order to begin your monthly bookkeeping.
  3. Connect your accounts & upload documents – Securely link your financial accounts and provide any necessary paperwork.
  4. Onboarding review – Your historical bookkeeper or onboarding specialist will check that everything is in place. If anything is missing, they’ll follow up with the next steps.‍
  5. Meet your bookkeeping team! – Depending on your plan, your historical Catch Up bookkeeping will commence, or you will meet your ongoing monthly Keep Up bookkeeper.

Timely completion of your onboarding tasks is key. Without them, we won’t be able to keep your books accurate and IRS-compliant.
